In a world nearly wiped from existence, 
where daily survival and necessities are the main concerns.
There's rarely much happiness to be had here, 
moments of pure laughter and enjoyment are few and far between,
the small treats and pleasures are nearly all but gone.
Life is just survival.

So imagine the feelings at the find of a long lost, solar run deep freeze.
To walk into that brisk cool air from the new desert sun, 
to discover the sights of well kept ice creams and frozen sweets. 
In our excitement we shared one of the closest containers -
a cold we haven't felt on our tongues in what seems like a life time, 
and the sweetness that danced over our taste buds kept us both in a quiet
moment of pure bliss.

Then add to that the adult satisfaction in discovering tucked away
in the largest office, under piles of dust covered papers and empty 
treat boxes an untapped keg and a few boxes of wine!
Tonight - our now small city will remember the simpler pleasures, 
some children will experience sweets they've never even known.

Lots going on, and I'm sorry some you'll need to hurry to catch! But all of this loveliness is so very worth it.
